The Challenge

Ogletree Deakins is one of the largest labor and employment law firms with more than 850 attorneys located in 53 offices across the United States and in Europe, Canada, and Mexico. They came to us with the primary goal of better representing their firm as an industry leader and to improve conversion rates on their website. Additionally, their site needed to serve current clients, prospects, and potential employees, in addition to a robust library of thought leadership content from attorneys across the globe.

Our Solution

With so many moving pieces, it was crucial that we work closely with our client stakeholders during the user experience (UX) wireframe stage to ensure the site would meet all of their requirements. Our responsive design concept had to work on a global scale culturally, account for character counts in various languages, and apply to all different areas of employment law. The result was a professional-yet-modern looking website. The photography selected had a strong, stable and urban tone reflecting the firm’s geographic footprint.

The Results

Our work resulted in a w3 Award for creative excellence on the web. More importantly, the site drove an immediate increase in organic traffic, higher traffic to thought leadership content, as well as a sharp increase in time spent within thought leadership content. These metrics have continued to increase since launch without impact to existing backlinks, referral traffic, or search engine rankings.
